The Loyola Campus Puthukkudiyiruppu felt a sense of joy and wonder when it recalls the events that took place in the month of June. It was a remarkable month for the Centre due the graduation ceremony of both the batches namely September-December 2017 and January-April 2018. There were about thirty-five students who received certificate for English, Computer applications and basic Sinhala courses. The center also honored with certificates and trophies for those students who participated in the ‘Talents Day 2018’ competition which was held at Loyola Campus on the 26 of May. There were one hundred and thirty-five students from four schools who took part in this event. The champion trophy was rewarded to the Puthukkudiyiruppu Roman Catholic School. The runners up was the Central College, and the third and the fourth places were received respectively by R.C.T.M Iranapalai and Loyola Campus- Puthukkudiyiruppu.
Rev Fr Benedict Saverimuththu SJ, the Director of JRSS was the Chief Guest, and Rev Fr Milroy Fernando,sj the Country Director of Loyola Campus-Sri Lanka was the Guest of Honour. The Principal, the religious, the Parish Priests of Iranaplai and Puthukkudiyiruppu participated as special guests as well as well-wishers. The Centre extend a sincere thanks and appreciation to Miss Vathani Balasubramaniam who coordinated the programme. It has provided the students in and around Puthukkudiyiruppu an opportunity to showcase their talents and perform on a stage for a larger audience.
