The Uses of Trees

StudentPortrait_21Trees are gifts from God. They are one of the most important part of our environment. They also play a major role in human life. Mostly, all of the trees have useful things. If we take some trees for example, the whole part of the tree is very useful to man. Coconut tree and palmyrah tree are such trees.

Some trees are used for medical purposes like margosa tree, jack tree and guava tree. Some trees are used for religious activities. Banana tree is very popular among Hindus for celebrating cultural events. Some trees are used for decoration. Christmas cannot be celebrated without Christmas tree.

Trees play a significant role in reducing soil erosion and maintaining the climate. They remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere through the photosynthesis process and release fresh oxygen for human’s breathing.

Trees and forests provide a habitat for many species of animals and birds. They also provide shade, shelter, timber for building constructions, fuel for cooking and fruits for food. Trees are the source of many of the world’s best known flesh fruits. Mango, grapes, orange and strawberry are some of these fruits. They are very delicious to taste and they are healthy too.

Now, some selfish people cut down these valuable trees for their personal needs. We can’t imagine a world without trees. They are very precious. We must protect them and we must grow more and more trees around us.
